Essay on Dussehra: Dussehra is one of the most popular festivals of India. People celebrate this festival with big enthusiasm and beliefs.
Dussehra falls in the month of last September or October every year two weeks before the festival of Diwali.
There are different ways and traditions of celebrating this festival in various regions of India.
Generally, it is a ten days long festival but somewhere it varies. People celebrate it by worshipping the Hindu Goddess Durga.
People keep fast on Navratri. Navratra is the first nine days of Dussehra. As people beliefs, there are nine forms of goddess Durga.
In between these nine days goddess Durga is worshipped in her nine
Forms. These nine days also called Durga Puja.
The tenth day of Dussehra is celebrated by organizing a big fair or Ram Lila. In Ram, Lila people show the dramatic life history of the lord Rama.
In the end, they burn the statue of Ravana to show the victory of Lord Rama and the killing of Ravana with the sound of firecrackers.
